Automated Scanner

Catamaran is a rugged, portable, lightweight non-magnetic scanner designed for inspecting complex structures. The system is suitable for use in production environments as well as in field applications. The Nautilus underwater scanner is a combination of a remotely controlled submarine and an automated rotary style scanner to perform underwater inspections. It was first developed by AMDATA to perform inner diameter inspections of nozzles in a nuclear power reactor pressure vessel. The Navigator is a trackless scanner designed for inspecting carbon steel tanks and vessels. The dual magnetic wheel drive system allows the scanner to be steered, using the joystick, to any location on the component. A "transducer garage" is available to prevent excessive sensor wear during this move. The Model 5010 is a low profile, automated scanner. It is designed for fast installation on a wide range of flat or curved surfaces. It uses magnetic wheels to mount directly on magnetically compatible materials (e.g. carbon steel) or to a variety of scanning tracks.

Imaging Systems
DAS Generation System C-MAPPS
One component of the IntraSpect Imaging system, is a Data Acquisition/Analysis Workstation running Microsoft Windows XP/2000. The workstation can be custom configured for a customer’s needs including the option of a desktop or laptop. Preloaded third-party software eases report generation

The other component of the IntraSpect imaging system is the Data Acquisition Subsystem (DAS). The IntraSpect™ DAS offers flexibility by allowing the use of multiple Non-Destructive Examination (NDE) techniques within a single unit. Since the hardware for each NDE method is housed in a single DAS chassis, simultaneous inspections can be performed using one or more NDE technologies. The DAS can be configured for the customer’s needs.
IntraSpect C-MAPPS is a new DSP based Turnkey Ultrasonic Corrosion Mapping System manufactured by WesDyne AMDATA.

The data acquisition and automated motion control are built into a single small unit. For ease of use in the field and back at the office, the data is displayed and stored on a ruggedized tablet PC. A field proven scanner is supplied for delivery of the probe to the inspection surface.
